Chapter Update
A Word from the Secretariat
The ZUNA BUSE Technical Chapter has entered 2026 with renewed momentum, bringing together the brightest young minds at Bindura University of Science Education to champion the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As a technical chapter of the Zimbabwe United Nations Association, our mandate is clear — to bridge the gap between global frameworks and local realities through software innovation, youth governance, and community-driven action.
This first quarter has seen the chapter consolidate its executive structure, launch new programs aligned with the SDGs, and prepare for flagship events including the Miss & Mr BUSE 2026 pageant — a celebration of leadership, talent, and excellence within our campus community. The pageant, presented by the Student Representative Council in partnership with ZUNA BUSE, opens voting on 1 June 2026 with the main event on 6 June 2026.
We invite all students, staff, and community stakeholders to engage with our programs, attend our events, and join the movement toward a more just, equitable, and technically empowered Zimbabwe.
SDG Focus
Our Priority Goals for 2026
Quality Education
Running digital literacy workshops and technical bootcamps to ensure every BUSE student has access to the skills needed for the modern economy. We believe education is the foundation of all development.

Championing equal representation in STEM fields and student governance. We actively create spaces where young women can lead, innovate, and thrive without barriers.
Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure
Building the SDG Tech Lab — a student-run software development initiative creating tools that track and visualise SDG progress at a provincial level.
Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions
Training youth in ethical AI governance, digital rights, and institutional accountability. We believe strong governance starts with informed citizens.
Partnerships for the Goals
Collaborating with ZUNA National, the Student Representative Council, corporate partners, and academic institutions to multiply impact across Mashonaland Central.
Decent Work & Economic Growth
Connecting students with internship opportunities, career mentorship, and entrepreneurship programs that build pathways to sustainable livelihoods.
